Okay, so the thing about being a writer is that you kind of have to be a reader, first. So I’m a reader. A big reader, specifically in the Fantasy and Sci-Fi genres, though not exclusively.
And I’m also an artist. I’m not very good, but I like to think I’m good enough that people enjoy looking at my art. So here’s a bit of fan art I did for one of my favorite book series: The Dresden Files.
As is par for the course, I used Photoshop for this. I made a skull in Blender because, as it turns out, I’m much better at sculpting 3d skulls than I am at drawing them from any direction other than a straight forward portrait or profile. That skull was my reference for Bob. None of the rest really needed a reference.
